PROTOTYPE

From Nothing to Something

Preparations

1. Brainstorming

At this stage, all team members engaged in a borderless brainstorming activity based on real-life situations and the completed user research, and defined the realisation approaches of this project. During the discussion, various ideas were put forward, the strengths, weaknesses and feasibility of each idea were fully explored through comparison and debate. In the end, everyone reached a consensus on the type of product and the basic design principles.

2. Making Plans

After brainstorming, the project manager summarised everyone’s ideas, clarifying the macro guidelines and specific tasks of the project by drawing up detailed plans.

3. Initial Visualisation

Before proceeding with the formal design, an initial simple drawing of each section of the platform and the smart bin was conducted and presented via the online video meeting. Frequent communications were made to ensure the consistency of understanding, which would be helpful for improving efficiency.
